GETTYSBURG, PA (July 14, 2021) – The Adams County Economic Development Corporation (ACEDC) and the Adams County Industrial Development Authority (ACIDA), both under the umbrella of the Adams Economic Alliance, are seeking new legal counsel and inviting interested attorneys to submit a Request for Proposal (RPF). The solicitor’s primary purpose is to provide the ACEDC and ACIDA with legal representation.

“We are indebted to attorney Gary Hartman who served as our solicitor for many years and guided our organizations so skillfully and insightfully. We will miss his expertise,” said Robin Fitzpatrick, Alliance President. “Gary leaves big shoes to fill, and we invite area attorneys to apply for the opportunity to be involved with organizations focused on Adams County’s economic wellbeing.”

Adams Economic Alliance’s mission is to develop and implement creative community-based strategies to enhance economic opportunity and foster a dynamic framework for balanced growth and development through three organizations, including ACEDC and ACIDA.

Due to the diverse nature of each agency’s operations, legal expertise is needed in the following areas:

  • Employment law
  • Real estate law
  • Non-profit law
  • Municipal/authority law
  • Redevelopment law
  • Construction law
  • State/federal economic development financing programs
  • Tax-exempt financing

The full RFP document and application instructions are posted on the Alliance’s website at adamsalliance.org. The deadline for proposal submission is noon on Friday, August 13, 2021.  A committee will evaluate proposals and invite a short list of firms to interview with board members.

It is the mission of the Adams Economic Alliance to develop and implement creative community-based strategies to enhance economic opportunity and foster a dynamic framework for balanced growth and development through the Adams County Economic Development Corporation, Adams County Industrial Development Authority and Adams County General Authority.
